Passport Land -
Maurycy-Ryszard Wienstein AKA Richard Weinstein (1911-)
Maurycy-Ryszard Wienstein (16 Sep 1911, L'wow, Poland [now L'vov,
Ukraine] - ) was a Mechanic in 1948-51. However, he seems implausibly
well-travelled (and air travel was expensive in the late 1940s and
1950s), if he was just a mechanic.
He preferred to be known as Richard Weinstein. His JDC Jewish Displaced
Persons and Refugee Card states
that on the opening date of 23 Jan 1951, Richard
Weinstein was a stateless mechanic living at Meynartg. 9/7, Vienna IX,
and that his country of destination was Australia. He was not
accompanied by anyone, and the closing date was 24 Mar 1952.
Nothing is yet known.
Maurycy-Ryszard Wienstein's Polish passport was issued in Tel Aviv,
Israel on 9 Mar 1948. You can also view Josefine
Weinstein's 1952 Austrian passport. Both passports came from
the same source, but it is not known how (or even if) they are related.
